Awesome song from a great album. Missed these guys when they were in town a few months and wish I hadn’t after listening to this album. Probably best described as indie rock with folk influences and a bunch of get up, whatever that means.

New Yeasayer!!! I’ve loved these folks since their last release All Hour Cymbals. They have a pretty awesome website to boot. This release is more experimental and has a whole lot more 80’s influence than the last but it’s still pretty good.

I came across some really great photo manipulations by artist Erik Johansen on tutorart.com. It astonishes me to see people’s creativity. I was sad to see he didn’t have an active website though, but it’s okay, I am officially inspired! Now off!

Song: Shadows on Parade

Beasts of Seasons caught me off guard right from the get go with this song. It was nothing like I’d heard form Laura Gibson before and I owe it to Producer Tucker Martine, who’s done work with some of my favorite artists like Decemberists and Sufjan Stevens. This album is wholly different from her prior release If You Come To Greet Me, in that it’s more mellow, but still a great listen. If you enjoy modern folk at all I would definitely give this a listen.
