I didn’t pick up on the Antlers until last years release. I was in a mopey band mood for a few months and these guys definitely fit that bill. Two is probably the most upbeat of the songs on the album, which if you’ve heard it should tell you something. This should definitely not deter you from grabbing this record. There are some amazing songs, like Kettering for instance which puts me in a delightfully gloomy mood.
I was surprised by this album after their last release, which had it’s points but didn’t stick with me, likely because of how short it was. This one however I say is winner, albeit a lonely, sad and disillusioned winner. :P
